Home Insurance provides you with protection against the basic risks plus some additional hazards. For instance, you are covered against damage caused by fire, storm, burglary, burst water pipes, vandalism, the impact of falling trees and accidental breakage of glass.

The building act stipulates that any tradesman who are contracted with the owner/developer to undertake work exceeding $20,000 must provide the Owner with a certificate of Insurance for Home Warranty.
Home Warranty provides protection to the consumer against non-structural defects for 2 years and structural defects for 6 years in the event of the builder being unable to complete or rectify their work by reason of death,disappearance or insolvency. The maximum payout is $300,000 per claim.
